OUR SERVICES

1
ASSET PROTECTION TRUSTS
Asset protection trusts are advanced planning tools designed to safeguard wealth from future creditors, lawsuits, and unforeseen risks. These trusts are structured to create a legal barrier between personal assets and potential claims while maintaining compliance with applicable law. They are often appropriate for professionals, business owners, and individuals with significant exposure to liability. When implemented proactively, asset protection planning strengthens long-term financial security and preserves generational wealth.
2
TRUST-BASED ESTATE PLANNING
Our trust-based estate plans provide a comprehensive strategy for families seeking greater control, privacy, and efficiency. A revocable living trust allows your assets to avoid probate, streamlines administration, and ensures seamless management in the event of incapacity. This approach is ideal for blended families, business owners, and those with more complex financial situations. Trust-based planning delivers flexibility during your lifetime and long-term protection for the people you care about most.
3
WILL-BASED ESTATE PLANNING
Our will-based estate plans are designed for individuals and families who want a clear, cost-effective strategy for distributing assets and naming guardians for minor children. This plan includes a Last Will and Testament, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives to ensure your wishes are carried out during life and after death. It provides structure and clarity while keeping administration straightforward. For many families, a will-based plan offers the right balance of protection and simplicity.

MEET KAYLA
Managing Partner
With more than a decade of legal experience and thousands of estate plans drafted, Kayla Graben is a trusted authority in estate planning and probate on Alabama’s Eastern Shore. She has guided families through every stage of planning — from young parents creating their first wills to high-net-worth clients building comprehensive trust-based plans, to loved ones navigating probate after loss.
A graduate of the University of Alabama, where she finished at the top of her class, Kayla earned a full scholarship to Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law. After law school, she served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Jim Hughey, III — an experience that sharpened her legal analysis and deepened her understanding of how courts interpret estate documents when families need clarity most.
Beyond her private practice, Kayla is a frequent speaker and educator on estate planning topics. She has been featured on local radio and television programs and has hosted dozens of seminars and workshops designed to make complex planning strategies understandable and actionable. Her mission is simple: remove confusion, replace it with clarity, and empower families to make confident decisions about their future.

Securing your legacy. Protecting your family.
As a mother of two young boys, Kayla understands firsthand how quickly life moves and how important it is to have a solid plan in place. She brings both professional rigor and personal empathy to every client relationship. Her approach is practical, efficient, and relationship-driven — focused not only on drafting documents, but on building long-term partnerships with the families she serves.
When she’s not working with clients, you’ll likely find her on the pickleball court, solving crossword puzzles, playing tennis, or enjoying life along the Eastern Shore with her family. Kayla founded Bayside Law to provide estate planning that is thorough, strategic, and refreshingly straightforward — so families can move forward with confidence.
